Thank you to everyone you completed our recent questionnaire. We had a high number of responses and we are pleased that the results are overwhelmingly very positive, with most people agreeing or strongly agreeing that they are happy with the school. 97% would recommend the school to others.

Whilst we are pleased with the response we are always striving to improve, so we are presently making a number of changes.

I would also like to thank everyone for their written comments. We had lots of individual positive comments and some very welcome suggestions of ways that we can make the school even better.

I have included some that sum up the responses:

“Fantastic staff and school committee.  Both my children are happy at Queens Crescent and progressing well.”

“Fab school, very happy with how my daughter has settled in so quickly and enjoys to learn.”

“We feel fortunate enough to be able to place our two boys into such a brilliant primary school.  All the teachers are wonderful and our boys enjoy going to school and learning.”

“I rate the school highly and am pleased with the progress my child makes.”

“My child loves coming to school every day.  She enjoys her lessons as the teachers make them fun!?  Any concerns I have, have been addressed promptly.  My child is very happy at school & as parents we find the teachers very approachable.”

“Great school.”

“We have always had fantastic support from all our children’s teachers.  The SENCO has made sure that we have received as much support as possible & we have regular meeting to discuss progress & the future.  Queens Crescent is a brilliant school which supports all children regardless of ability.”

Whilst our anti bullying policy is available in the policies section of the website, the fact that some parents are unsure about it, suggests that we need to be more proactive in explaining what we do.  We will make this information clearer on our website in future.

We are continually reviewing our homework policy and the amount of home learning your child receives in order to support in class learning and prepare your child for secondary education and the future. We always value your feedback on this.

We continue to look at ways to improve the communication between home and school and we now have a Twitter account, Year group and Friends Facebook pages, newsletter and the website. The text and e mail system also works well to convey information quickly. We are always looking at ways to develop this further.

For myself I would like to say that it is a privilege working at Queen’s Crescent School with such a strong team, great children and supportive parents and I would like to thank you once again for taking the time and trouble to complete the questionnaire.

A new Questionnaire will be sent out in February 2016.
