Colour Band Reading Objectives

The ‘Reading Checklists’ relate to the colour reading bands on the books the children bring home from school, which indicate the books currently appropriate for their reading level. The ‘Reading Checklists’ will show the objectives that need to be achieved before a pupil is able to move onto the next. The aim is to provide a clearer understanding of the children’s progress and targets, as well as make the reading bands more transparent.
